- Drilled the aft fuselage
I made sure that the fuselage
tail cone area all fitted nice and flush. This took a little
while to sort as the tail cone skin is quite thick and does not
bend easily. Using a mixture of trapping in a wood vice on
the bench and bending using brute force at various points along
its length I managed to improve the radius of the curve of the
cone skin so it fit flush with rib and side skin.
Then drilled all the holes in the aft fuselage, and there plenty
of them. Once it is dissembled the next job will be
deburring, smoothing and dimpling :-(
